BALTIMORE AIRCOIL COMPANY (BAC) – JUST A DROP’S PARTNER
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is a global leader in developing, manufacturing and distributing evaporative or hybrid cooling and ice thermal storage products. Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) is engaged in making sure that clean and safe water is available to people worldwide, as it is essential to human development.
Just a Drop partnered with Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) on World Water Day, 22 March 2018, to bring safe water and sanitation to communities worldwide. Throughout 2018, Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC)’s employees will engage in raising funds to support Just a Drop in bringing much needed safe water to 1,324 people across India, Kenya and Nicaragua.
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) will support 303 children at Kyeni Primary School in Kenya with a rainwater harvesting tank and hygiene education, 201 people in the remote El Roblar community in Nicaragua with a piped water system, and 820 people in Kudo Village, India through a comprehensive safe water and sanitation programme.
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) and Just A Drop at Kyeni Primary School, Kenya
In Kenya, thanks to support from Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC), Just a Drop will bring safe water and hygiene education to 303 children at Kyeni Primary School. Without water at the school currently, children are forced to drink dirty water from a river 3km away and are frequently sick and miss school, impacting their education. A rain water harvesting tank and hygiene education will lead to long-term good health.
“We are facing a major challenge in terms of accessing water, sometimes we are required to go out and fetch water from an earth dam. We spend many hours fetching water in the evening and it is affecting my performance in class. Some of us bring some brownish coloured water and you find pupils drinking it when it’s hot and we are thirsty.” – Christine Musyimi, 12, a student at Kyeni Primary

Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) and Just A Drop at Kudo Village, India
Kudo village has 820 inhabitants, who share four water pumps with a very low water yield. Existing toilets in the community were incorrectly designed and aren’t used, and hygiene is poor. Malaria and stomach illnesses are very common, particularly among the young.
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) and Just a Drop will provide a comprehensive solution, including a piped water system to each household, which will transform the village – each individual will have access to clean and safe water and hygiene standards will improve hugely.

Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) and Just A Drop at El Roblar, Nicaragua
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC)’s third project with Just a Drop will benefit the 201 people living in El Roblar, located 8km south of the town of Camoapa, in Nicaragua. It takes around an hour and a half for families to fetch water, a trip they have to make between four to five times each day. Often the water becomes contaminated when it is carried back.
Baltimore Aircoil Company (BAC) and Just a Drop will install a piped water system which will bring safe water directly to individual homes. The community will be healthier and long-term economic opportunities will improve.
